Personnel Amendment

Any person that is to work with animals must be listed on an approved AEEC protocol and complete the necessary personnel requirements before the work can begin. Please read SOP: Requirements for Personnel Listed on AEEC Protocols before your submission.

*If your protocol was approved on Tick@lab, please submit the personnel amendment via Tick@lab.*

Addition of personnel to an active protocol can be done administratively by submitting Form PA-1 and PA-2 for Personnel Amendment to the AEEC Secretariat. Please note that the submission will be copied to the  Principal Investigator for the AEEC Secretariat to document that he/she is aware of the change in personnel.

To remove inactive personnel from a protocol, re-submit form PA-1 and PA-2 with latest personnel list. 

Valid animal licenses must be provided at submission.

After the AEEC Secretariat processes the Form PA, the Principal Investigator will receive a notification with the updated protocol personnel list. 

Training requirements for personnel working with animals

All training and health requirements must be completed before an individual may work with animals.

• Mandatory Animal Ethics Training
• Species-specific training
• Survival Surgery Training, as applicable

​The AEEC may, at its discretion, requiring additional training for any personnel prior to approving
that individual to work on a protocol.
